We strive to support a cohesive healthcare system where individuals can readily access the healthcare resources they need, promoting a healthier and more resilient community.

All of the healthcare services below are accessible to individuals residing in Central Region North, including Simcoe County, Muskoka, and the Parry Sound region. Note, due to limited options available within our region, we have included abortion care options past 12 weeks gestation outside of our region.

Georgian Bay Women's Clinic (Midland)
PAP Tests are open to anyone in the North Simcoe community. Self-referral and book online.

Huntsville Health Care Clinic (Huntsville)
Open to all unattached patients, including those on a waiting list for primary care, pending appointment availability for cervical screening. Self-referral and call to book.

Huronia Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic (Oro-Medonte)
Provides up to two pap appointments per month for individuals without a primary care provider or individuals who don't feel comfortable having their primary care provider perform them. Self-referral and call to book.

Lakeside Women's Clinic (Barrie)
Open to anyone in the community (with or without a primary care provider). If patient is rostered with the Barrie Family Health Team, the clinic will require a referral form from the BFHT. Self-referral and call to book.

Well Women's Clinic: Stevenson Memorial Hospital (Alliston)
This clinic runs every Thursday and is open to anyone in the community. Self-referral and call to book.

CONTRACEPTION

Georgian Bay Women's Clinic
Provides information and counselling for all methods of pregnancy prevention.

Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit
Sexual Health clinics offer a safe place to talk confidentially with a Public Health Nurse about all forms of contraception. Provides birth control, and free condoms and lube.

CHILD AND YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH

ConnexOntario (24 hour access)
ConnexOntario provides service information for people experiencing problems with gambling, drugs, alcohol, or mental health. Helpful, supportive system navigation specialists answer all calls, emails or web chat requests 24/7.

Family, Child & Youth Mental Health Program
The Family, Child and Youth Mental Health Program through Waypoint provides community-based mental health care on a consultative basis for the full spectrum of mental health conditions to children and youth that are 17 years of age or younger. The consultative service typically consists of 1-2 visits by a Physician and potential follow-up with a clinician from the clinical team using trauma-informed care approaches. Services may occur virtually or in-person. In-person services may be provided at the Community Health Hub located at 287 Bayshore Drive in Midland or at a regional affiliated primary care setting. *Note: Referrals to the program must be completed by a primary care provider. Kids Help Phone

Provides a crisis phone line and texting service, where you can chat with a trained crisis responder for support any time, about anything. The phone and texting service are free and available across Canada 24/7. For the texting service, you don't need a data plan, Internet connection or an app to us it.

Youth Wellness Hub
The North Simcoe Youth Wellness Hub offers a wide range of services to youth age 12-25. Services are offered both in-person and virtually, are easy to access, and are offered with little to no wait times.

EATING DISORDERS

Simcoe Muskoka Regional Eating Disorder Program
The SMREDP provides evidence-based outpatient eating disorder treatment to children, adolescents and young adults under the age of 25 within Barrie, Orillia and surrounding areas of Simcoe County.

PERINATAL HEALTH & WELLBEING

After Baby Group (Mood Disorder Support)
This support group is for parents experiencing mood changes after baby. It is 8-week series that runs on Tuesday mornings from 10:30am-11:30am.

Bedaines & bambins
Every Monday morning from 10:00am-12:00pm, come out and meet other French-speaking moms! Bedaines & bambins welcomes expectant and new moms, along with their children for socialization, learning opportunities, and playtime! Discussions are led by Mélissa Boizot-Roche, a midwife from the Midland Midwives by the Bay. Mélissa is there to answer all of your questions about pregnancy, newborns, breastfeeding, and more! The group meets at the ON y va Centre in Lafontaine. The centre is located at Sainte-Croix School (please use the entrance on the left side of the school). Life With A Baby
Provides a wide range of programs and events to cover all stages of parenthood and the challenges that come with it. They also offer two types of no-cost mental health counselling, group therapy with a peer led "HOPE groups", and individual counselling with counselling students. 

Maawanji'idiwag (We Gather)
This is a monthly drop-in sharing circle that occurs on the third Monday or each month from 1:00-3:00pm at the Midland Community Health Hub. This group is for Indigenous individuals that are either pregnant or one year post-postpartum, and their families in the North Simcoe region. This gathering is an opportunity to come together, feast, and connect with one another in a welcoming and supportive environment. Each drop-in offers a chance to share stories, experiences, and wisdom, fostering a sense of community as you move through your pregnancy journey and beyond. Note: This program welcomes all types of family structure (partners, single parents, queer and trans*, etc.)


Perinatal Wellbeing Ontario
Provides help to people living with a perinatal mood and/or anxiety disorder, connect to supports through a support planning specialist, as soon as possible that are either low-cost or free. The offer a Virtual Drop-in Peer Support Group for pregnant people and parents seeking peer support in a group setting. They also offer individual therapy sessions that are on a pay-what-you-can basis.

Regional Perinatal Mental Health Program

The Regional Perinatal Mental Health Program at OSMH, offers specialized support and counselling for individuals 16 years and older living in North Simcoe Muskoka. The program supports those on their preconception, pregnancy, or postpartum journey who are experiencing mood and anxiety issues, difficulties transitioning to parenthood, birth trauma, pregnancy or infant loss, or relationship challenges. Referrals are now being accepted. Please speak to your health care provider or self-refer by calling 705-325-2201 x3122.

Pregnancy and Infant Loss (PAIL) Network

Provides free group and individual peer-support services to families across Ontario who have experienced pregnancy and infant loss. Support programs are led by trained volunteers who have experienced pregnancy or infant loss first-hand.

Pregnancy and Infant Loss Outreach (PILO) North Simcoe Muskoka
PILO's mission is to ensure that anyone who has experienced pregnancy or infant loss has access to the appropriate programs and support that can help them through difficult times. Types of services includes: one-to-one support with a Bereavement Services Coordinator and access to the 'Our Babies, Our Grief' specialized six-week program designed to offer practical and emotional support.

Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support Group (Midland)
Come together to share experiences, provide comfort, and offer support. You are not alone on this journey. The first and third Thursday of each month from 6:00PM - 7:00PM.

SERVICES IN FRENCH

Colibri
Provides counselling, support, transitional and housing support, and family court support to Francophone women (16 years and up) who have experienced or are experiencing domestic violence and/or sexual assault in Simcoe County.

Fem'aide
A provincial telephone helpline for Francophone women dealing with violence. Callers to the helpline can expect that Fem’aide workers will listen, provide support and help you create a safety plan.

French Language System Navigator
The Chigamik French Language System (FLS) Navigator can help you access the services of French-speaking health and community professionals offered in North Simcoe Muskoka, for example health, food, financial, housing, education, employment, mental health, and more.

La Clé

La Clé is a non-profit organization offering multiple services to Francophones and Francophiles in Simcoe County. They provide childcare services, support services to children and youth, summer camps, bilingual employment services, cultural programming and more!

SEXUAL ASSAULT & DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

The Regional Sexual and Domestic Assault Treatment Centre
Located at Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, the Treatment Centre provides emergency medical care and treatment options to victims of sexual and domestic assault. Police involvement is not required to access the service.

WOMEN'S HEALTH & WELLBEING

Ontario Structured Psychotherapy Program (OSP)
Are you experiencing depression, trauma or anxiety-related concerns? You may be eligible for free cognitive-behavioural therapy and related services.
